A quick recipe for cooking topside of beef.

Here is the list of ingredients and the process:


  • 2 pound topside of beef
  • 2 sprigs rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon mustard powder


  1. Leave the roast at room temperature for 1 hour before cooking.
  2. Preheat the oven to 240°C (475°F) or 220°C for a fan oven.
  3. Place the roast beef in a roasting tin, fat side up.
  4. Rub the beef with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and mustard powder.
  5. Add sprigs of rosemary on top of the beef.
